Zack thanks for sitting down with us today. Can you tell us what you like most about playing in San Francisco?

Well, I have to say, it is the fact that on the days I’m not out there pitching I’m able to spend about ten minutes and personally talk to every fan that came to the park. I can’t say I blame the fans for staying away for a lot less money, you can go up the road a bit, catch a Fresno Grizzly’s game and find the exact same quality of play you get with the Giants. The only real difference is with the Grizzly’s you might just see a victory.

How did you decide on the Giants this off-season?

They offered me the biggest paycheck. As you know, all of us free agents are basically whores. We will do whatever to whoever as long as the check if fat enough. We all know that the Giants have to come up with the big payday if they want to attract any free agent talent. No player would want to play for such a dysfunctional franchise if they weren’t making a mint. Listen if I had a wife whose decision making ability was as poor as our GM’s I would have divorced her years ago. The only way the ownership could say they cared less about this team then keeping this joker around is to send a Hallmark card saying we could care F*&king less.

Through your first four starts you looking very dominate, how does it feel being such an important cog in one of the best pitching staffs in the NL?

Well we do have several great arms on this team and we can only get better once our ace Juan Jose García comes off the DL. Of course, I only have one win in my four starts. The good feeling I get from being on such an elite staff is negated by the pitchers having to coddle and carry the team. It would be a nice change if the rest of the team could pick it up some, our team hits like a little league team. Hell I bet a little league team could put up more runs the our offense. It’s a crime against nature that we are even paying these guys. In a just world they should all be turning their paychecks over to the pitching staff.

Zack again thank you for your time.

No problem glad to do it.
