New York (A), Milwaukee Trade Players
Sunday, July 24th, 2016: The New York (A) Yankees have parted ways with 25-year-old starting pitcher Donnie Walton in a trade with the Milwaukee Brewers for 30-year-old starting pitcher Franklin Morales. The Yankees general manager confirmed the deal in an announcement this morning.

So far this season Walton has a 8-5 record with a 3.69 ERA.

In 19 starts this season Morales has compiled a 8-7 record and a 4.22 ERA.
Trade Rumors Flying in Toronto
Sunday, July 24th, 2016: While we are unable to confirm any truth to the rumors, but apparently center fielder Carlos Gomez had asked the Toronto Blue Jays for a trade after a scuffle with his manager and a few of his teammates a few days ago. "I find that hard to believe, he is so mellow. Can't imagine him fighting with anyone," said one source close to the team.
Hits Galore: Butler Drills 5 Hits
Saturday, July 23rd, 2016: It wasn't poetic justice.

Chad Butler of the Rockies had a terrific 5-hit game today, really socking it to the Houston Astros, but his team didn't win the game.

In the clubhouse after the 15-12 loss, he moaned to the press, "Hey, I don't want to sound ungrateful, but something is missing here. When you have a great game you should win the game, too."

And he definitely had an unforgettable day in the batter's box, ripping out 5 hits in 6 at-bats.

The manager for the Rockies sympathized with his catcher and told BNN reporters after the game, "Chad played a whale of a game, but sometimes individual brilliance is not enough to win... baseball is a team sport... it takes more than just one player to win a game."

C. Butler singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, doubled in the 7th, singled in the 9th and flied out in the 10th.

Butler is hitting .288 this year with 3 home runs, 36 RBIs and 27 runs scored. He has 82 hits in 285 at-bats, 28 walks and a .351 on-base percentage. Butler has played in 82 games.
